🎄🌲Fully biodegradable Xmas wreaths 🌲🎄

We are busy at the Glass House making our beautiful, fully biodegradable Xmas wreaths so you can have them ready for Xmas! We use all natural and responsibly sourced materials. These may slightly change from week to week as we make sure everything is used and upcycled. As these wreaths are hand-made to order, each piece is unique. Each wreath’s diametre is approximately 45 cm. These wreaths will stay fresh for over a month if sprayed with water daily. To order one of our wreaths contact us here.

Making your own wreath is a very grounding, meditative and creative practice. Think of a 3D mandala as you build layer after layer of Xmassy colours and textures, not to mention the yummy scents! We will be holding online workshops via Zoom (with a couple of in person slots if the lockdown rules allow!) on December 6th, 13th and 20th. These workshops last a maximum of 2 hours with a short break and you can book your place here.

So bring on the fairylights and the winter fires and the scents of warm spices and citrus – looking forward to a more sustainable and less wasteful merry Xmas ✨🎄✨

This week’s yoga and astral insights 16.11.20

We are approaching the end of 2020… phew! I can hear you say… It has been an intense year of looking at ourselves, personally and collectively, and we are being pushed towards taking responsibility and changing. The year is not over yet, but a lot of difficult aspects are softening now. Hurray!

We had a new moon in Scorpio yesterday, initiating a 6 month cycle until April 16th 2021 with the full moon in Scorpio.

Scorpio takes us to the deepest depth of our feelings in the darkness of a new moon. Remember that you are not your emotions, but just the one experiencing them.

Everything passes. Allow yourself to feel without fear.

We will explore this Scorpio New Moon in tonight’s Moon Flow Yoga and Yoga Nidra – a practice that nourishes your senses and allows you to go deep within, in a safe way. Deeply relaxing and restoring, Yoga Nidra or the yogic sleep, brings you to that liminal space between sleeping and waking, allowing you to safely reach parts of the unconscious, bringing healing to the soul, body and mind. You can join us tonight via Zoom by booking here.

Mars stopped retrograding last Friday and will be stationary until November 25th. This has been a period of reflection on our actions and finding out what our motor is, what is behind our actions. Now we can take our learnings and, once Mars goes direct, we can go forward with a clear direction and consciousness.

Hunter’s moon

We are still feeling the effects of the powerful Hunter’s Moon in Taurus. This moon is pushing for change, bringing a very strong energy as we are being put in situations that demand radical changes. How do we deal with change emotionally? How do we cultivate trust?
Learning to be in the moment allows us to let go of depressive thoughts – attachment to the past – and letting go of anxious thoughts – worry about the future. Although it is true that everything is constantly changing – the only constant is change -, our long held sense of security, perhaps illusory to a point, is being challenged right now as we are having to change the way we live, work and be with others. Our own self-constructed and contidioned limits and boundaries are being challenged and we are being pushed to create new ways. May we find our new ways and hold eachother safe through our own trials. One thing we need to remember is that, this instability right now, is also going to change. We will get to the other side!

Mercury is goin direct tomorrow. Yay! But hold on if you have any important comms pending, wait for a few days. When Mercury starts going direct, it stays stationary for about three days. Mercury stationary can be even more tricky than Mercury retrograde, as there is no movement at all. On top of this, Mercury will square Saturn (planet of rules and limits) until November 10th, which will make negotiations and communication difficult… so be prepared!

This week’s yoga and astral insights 26.10.2020

This is my favourite time of the year as we approach Samhain or the Day of the Dead.

As the trees dress their beautiful autumn colours, they get ready to shed the ‘dead’ weight, dropping their old leaves to turn in and focus on new growth.

This is a time for us to do just that, to start shedding the old and make space for a bright new beginning. But first, we must spend the winter in the dark, doing our inner work and getting our roots strong and our trunks firm and healthy. These months ahead are a time for inner reflection in darkness, resting and nourishing our inner realms. This is the most important work, which is most times overlooked, as while it is happening we cannot see changes in the outside. But trust we must: clearing our outer and inner spaces, setting intentions and allowing moments for idleness… understanding that space has to be given for the inner workings to happen.

We have a full moon coming up for Halloween, on October 31st. This is a blue Hunter’s Moon in Taurus, one of the brightests moons in the year. The sun is in Scorpio and the moon will conjunct Uranus, the planet of the unexpected. This will bring lightening-like flashes of clarity. There is a huge illumination energy this whole week, culminating this Saturday. This is said by astrologers to be the most intense period of 2020. This full moon makes the unconscious become conscious. This is a great period to be spending time in meditation and journaling. Pay attention to your dreams as these may bring things to light.
