Truth and dare – testing out our own new ways

It is undeniable that there is a huge need for change, collectively as well as personally. This is a strong energy, whether we like it or not. It feels like when our forever favourite jacket just doesn’t do it anymore or when we realise that we stopped enjoying our favourite breakfast – this was a while ago… but, why do we keep eating it then? Inertia. This is the auto-pilot state. This is us resisting, not hearing, ignoring while everything else screams: TRY SOMETHING NEW. And perhaps we are able to still keep some of our old security like we bought our home, still have a stable job and money in the bank… but how is this useful when everything else evolves to a different place? It is not. Therefore, our best bet is to let go…

The Sun and Mercury enter Aquarius this week Tuesday, bringing good chances for new connections and opportunities – and perhaps some surprise news!

If you have been feeling particularly rebellious or have found others behaving this way recently, this could be due to Mars meeting Uranus in Taurus this Wednesday. Uranus in Taurus already brought in a very volatile energy and now Mars injects the action in this conjunction. Watch out for small accidents, people acting in erratic ways and watch out for out of control fire, literally and metaphorically.

Mars in Taurus squares Jupiter in Aquarius on Saturday, calling us to experience and expand our own creativity by acting on it – time to try new things out! This is when we’d feel like trying some of our new ‘crazy’ ideas and go mad… and, why not?!
Venus in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces showering us with relaxing, lovey dovey, arty vibes … what is not to like?

We will get some evaluation time on Sunday when the Sun meets Saturn in Aquarius – time to apply our common sense and reflect on what works and what doesn’t. Mercury will start retrograding the week after, which will reinforce our reflection time.

This week’s yoga and astral insights 07.12.20

This week we are sandwiched between eclipses. Last Monday we had a full moon eclipse in Gemini and next Monday a total solar eclipse with the new moon in Sagittarius.

This whole year has been about falling structures, preparing us for the Age of Aquarius. As we all are at different stages in this massive transition, it is important to be in, or as close as possible to, our truth.
This week offers a perfect opportunity for us to check where we are right now: are we aligned to our truth? how much of it is pretenses and instagram stories and how much is real? how much are we trying to fool ourselves? Sitting in conversation with ourselves so we can discern and unpack, breaking down the rest of those old structures which still need to fall – this is the week to reflect and journal in preparation for the eclipse. Are you ready to be completely honest with yourself?

We are in the month of Sagittarius now, which in the Kabbalah is referred to as the month of miracles, meaning that there can be leaps in consciousness. This is a time of the year in which we tend to look back and take account of what has gone on, which helps to put things into perspective as we approach the new year with more of an open mind.

December 10th the Sun in Sagittarius trines Mars in Aries bringing in some wonderful energy to go out there and launch a new project which is great! However, breathe with this, prepare and keep working behind the scenes and launch after the eclipse next Monday, when there’ll be no more bumps in the road!

Last but not least, Venus is in Scorpio and from December 10th-15th will sextile Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn. This means that there is something you really desire, deep down, which if properly aligned with your truth and intention is already starting to manifest, starting to form behind the scenes. Now remember that a wish requires a commitment and therefore some level of sacrifice… Is this truly what you desire and, if so, are you prepared to commit to it?

Great week for yoga, meditation, journaling and soul searching in preparation for the eclipse next week.

This week’s yoga and astral insights 26.10.2020

This is my favourite time of the year as we approach Samhain or the Day of the Dead.

As the trees dress their beautiful autumn colours, they get ready to shed the ‘dead’ weight, dropping their old leaves to turn in and focus on new growth.

This is a time for us to do just that, to start shedding the old and make space for a bright new beginning. But first, we must spend the winter in the dark, doing our inner work and getting our roots strong and our trunks firm and healthy. These months ahead are a time for inner reflection in darkness, resting and nourishing our inner realms. This is the most important work, which is most times overlooked, as while it is happening we cannot see changes in the outside. But trust we must: clearing our outer and inner spaces, setting intentions and allowing moments for idleness… understanding that space has to be given for the inner workings to happen.

We have a full moon coming up for Halloween, on October 31st. This is a blue Hunter’s Moon in Taurus, one of the brightests moons in the year. The sun is in Scorpio and the moon will conjunct Uranus, the planet of the unexpected. This will bring lightening-like flashes of clarity. There is a huge illumination energy this whole week, culminating this Saturday. This is said by astrologers to be the most intense period of 2020. This full moon makes the unconscious become conscious. This is a great period to be spending time in meditation and journaling. Pay attention to your dreams as these may bring things to light.

Hello September!

Harvest MOON

September kicks off with the Harvest Full Moon tonight. With the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces, tonight’s full moon is about clarity and opening our eyes to see the full picture of a situation. As the moon sextiles Uranus, our ‘surprise!’ planet, this clarity will come in the form of unanounced ‘aha!’ moments which may seem to come out of nowhere – so tonight is a great time to meditate and calm our mind so our subconscious can rise and we can feel what is.

Tonight Slow Flow Yoga (Moon Flow) class will be themed around this Full Moon in Pisces and will end in a guided Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to help you get to the right depths of relaxation, calm your nervous system and allow the magic to happen. This nourishing, mainly restorative practice will ground you and help release blockages so the Full Moon’s energy can do the work while you lay down ready to receive. You can book for tonight’s session here.

September new classes

Level 2 Improvers will be back Tuesday evenings at 7pm from September 15th. This class is for those who have a good yoga foundation and want to take a more challenging class.

Lunchtime Yoga is back Mondays and Wednesdays at 1pm starting from Wednesday September 16th. A half an hour pick me up to put your body and mind in a better place. This class is aimed to those of you who work seated at a desk and can invest some lunchtime in your wellness to glide through the second part of your day revitalised and calm.

A 5 week Complete Beginners Course will be starting on September 30th at 5.30pm, then every Wednesday at the same time until October 28th. This course will be covering the basics in yoga in a friendly, down to earth environment. By the time you complete this course you should feel confident to move onto the Level 1 or Open Level classes with a clear understanding of the basic foundations in Yoga.
It is sometimes great to revisit these foundations even if you have been practising for a while, so if you feel like doing so you are welcome to join us!

Wild Yoga classes will continue until the weather doesn’t allow. Then the Saturday Wild Yoga class will become a regular Live Stream Open Level class. This will probably happen in October and therefore Wild Yoga class packs are no loger available to purchase from now on.

Best of both: New ‘hybrid’ class packs

The Glass House is now open for one to one sessions!
These can be booked individually or in packs of 5 (email me to arrange time and day and then you can purchase and book through the system). One to one tune ups are tailored specifically to your needs. These sessions can also be arranged online via Zoom if preferred.

The Hybrid Class Pack:
Online learning is great but, from time to time it is good to have a little one to one tune up in person. With this hybrid pack you get the best of both worlds: 5 online classes and a half price one to one session at the Glass House (or via Zoom if preferred).

Online Unlimited Yoga Subscription:
This monthly subscription is for those who want to make the most of the classes. If you do more than one class a week, this subscription is for you!

The One to One Class Pack:
This is a 5 x one to one pack with a heftly discount, so your personal tune ups come at just £35 each.

You can book all classes here.

I look forward to seeing you on the mat very soon!

Wild Yoga every Saturday at 10am

We had our first Wild Yoga class this Saturday – it was a bit of a last minute arrangement as the weather kept changing from sunny to rainy to sunny… and it decided to be a sunny Saturday at the end!

From now on, weather dependant, our Saturday session will be held at the park @10 am – it will be a maximum of 5 students and we will all respect the 2m distance – this has been tried and tested now!

These classes are available to book on the system from today and a new class pack has also been added to use with Wild Yoga classes only.

The rest of the classes will stay on line for now until further notice.

If you have any questions or useful feedback please feel free to get in touch!

I hope to see you on the mat very soon.
